Information security in digital supply chains: Automated transparency instead of isolated catalogs of requirements
Sebastian Breu und Mevre Tunca,
Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems FOKUS
Why do many efforts in procurement processes and in collaboration with external service providers and software vendors fail today when it comes to information security and data protection in complex supply chains—and how can this be changed? Nowadays, information is often still exchanged via heterogeneous specifications, questionnaires, or tables, which are highly dependent on interpretation, require a great deal of manual effort, and do not allow for reliable comparability.
At our Executive Breakfast, we will discuss how normative requirements can be translated into a structured, automatable approach that derives requirements from established regulations and communicates them transparently along the supply chain. How can requirements be compared automatically, and how should data protection and security levels be evaluated transparently?
Register for our Executive Breakfast and join the discussion on how information security and data protection can be made measurable, comparable, and practical in complex supply chains.
